Kundalini Deeksha (Upadesam/Kundalini Initiation)

When the life force is aroused from the base of the spine (Mooladhara) through the central canal (sushumna nadi) of the spinal cord crossing the backbrain to reach the forehead and further raised to reach the crown of the head (Sahasrahara) by the grace of experienced spiritual master, it is called Deeksha or Initiation. It is also called as awakening of Kundalini and as such experiencing this energy either at the forehead or at the crown of the head is called Kundalini Meditation. This is a boon to an individual to get this Initiation from a spiritual master who initiates in a simple and a most effective way for salvation or liberation. All those who receive the deeksha from the Master are called as the disciples. After the Initiation one can experience a throbbing or a tickling sensation or a sensation of heat, sometimes cold at the forehead/crown of the head.. This is the pulse of the soul and it is the ever present reality.

The Deeksha consists of three stages (Centers of Concentration)
1. Fore-head eye or Agna Chakra or Suzhi Munai- First stage of Deeksha

The space between the two eyebrows and at the top of the nose is a small hole which is a very subtle path ordinarily covered by a small tissue. This is the called the 3rd eye/ forehead eye

2. Mooladhara- Second stage of Deeksha

At the base of the spinal column i.e., at the lowest bodily center, the spot in between the anus and the urethra is called mooladhara, the seat of kundalini sakthi, This is the core center of the human body

3. Top-head Eye or Crest Eye or Sahasrara- Third stage of Deeksha

At the top of the head and just below the skull is this spot which is called the Top-head Eye. Kundalini sakthi aroused from Mooladhara when focused at the Crest Eye will bring peace and the supreme bliss.

Benefits of practice

The biggest benefit of Kundalini Meditation is stimulation of good thoughts in one's mind and thereby guides the life of the practitioner from within. It makes one Self Realised and to take things as they are.

To the Body, When energy rises to the brain and then flows into the body, it gives a good feeling to the body. The bio heat generated as a result of meditation purifies blood. The various ills of the body also get cleared.

To the Mind, When Kundalini meditation is practised sincerely , the mind flows as a clear stream just like water currents in the middle of sea. The stress caused by various responsibilities of life tends to wane away over a period of time depending upon the level of practice of the practitioner.

To the intellect, The pleasure of the Divine Vibration in the brain enriches the intellect towards wisdom. This is called Bliss. The more bliss one experiences , the more peaceful the mind and more sharper the intellect becomes culminating in the full blown experience of Self Realisation or State of Nirvana (Samadhi)
